Bangladesh

Bangladesh is one of the poorest and most densely populated countries in the world and leprosy is still a major health problem.

The Leprosy Mission New Zealand has a long and strong partnership in the Chittagong Region which has one of the highest prevalence rates of leprosy in the country.

Many leprosy-affected people live in extreme poverty and face stigma and discrimination in their daily lives. Through the following projects, we help give leprosy-affected families a brighter future.
