Village health volunteer Juma tested Lisa - and had to deliver the hardest news of all "Lisa has leprosy".

Lisa went straight onto MDT medication - a cure that takes a year but makes a person non-contagious in just 48 hours. 

Even so, the old fears still linger. Lia was scorned by her friends and told to stop coming to school - even though she was completely safe to be near...
