How has The Leprosy Mission chosen the selected gifts available for purchase?
How can I find out more about how my Really Good Gifts have helped the people funded?
Really Good Gifts offer you the chance to give essential life-transforming gifts to help people affected by leprosy to defeat the devastating effects of this disease.
We call them Really Good Gifts for a reason - they make really good things happen for people whose lives have been devastated by leprosy.
The gifts you purchase represent the needs of leprosy-affected communities and we work with our Leprosy Mission partners and the communities we serve to decide how those needs are met.
We work in health, income generation, and ensuring young people and children have access to education. Every project has different needs so it is important that the funding is used where the need is greatest for each hospital and community project.
We don’t want to give too many of one gift which could become a burden for people affected by leprosy. For example, we don’t want to give more piglets than the community can care for. Really Good Gifts offers you the chance to see how your special donation could be utilised to change the lives of those affected by leprosy.
For each gift, you will receive a beautiful Christmas blessings card and an envelope. This is a thoughtful gift for you to give to your family and friends this coming Christmas. As well as bringing smiles to your loved ones, you will be transforming the life of someone in need.
This year, for each Really Good Gifts order, you will receive a special gift of a handsewn felt Christmas decoration by people affected by leprosy like Luthfar!
This year's Christmas cards come in 4 different designs. Inside you can read how your gift has helped a specific individual affected by leprosy. You can also write a personal message to your loved ones.
With each Really Good Gift order, you will also receive a hand-sewn felt Christmas decoration by people affected by leprosy in Nepal.

The gifts have been specially chosen to give life-changing support to people living with leprosy. All gifts have been carefully selected so that the communities’ needs are met; as well as making the biggest impact on curing and supporting people affected by leprosy.
Our gift selection offers a range of products, training and support that will give people affected by leprosy a new lease on life. Something as simple as protective sandals will protect their feet for years. Leprosy-affected individuals are often struggling with poverty, gifts such as a pedal rickshaw or sewing machine will allow them to earn an income and support their families. This will prevent children from suffering from the effects of leprosy and give them the hope of a brighter future.
We strive to make sure that your Really Good Gifts go where the biggest difference can be made. Your gift will help those who are in the most need and will go to one of our projects which are currently in Bangladesh, Bougainville, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Nepal and Papua New Guinea. These gifts will give someone the best chance of getting out of poverty and reclaiming their life.
Since your gifts support people and projects in various places all around the world, your gift will be representative of what each project needs the most. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot tell you exactly where your gift has been delivered as it would be very costly to do so. The project leaders in each community decide what gift is most needed by the people they support and will ensure that it will go to whoever is most in need of your vital gift.
The Leprosy Mission aims to help leprosy-affected individuals and their families by giving them the opportunity to earn an income and support themselves. Agricultural productivity is one of the best ways to provide both income and food for their families. Goats and dairy cows provide milk to sell at their local markets and feed their family. The production of calves, piglets and young goats also enables the long-term sustainability of their business.
The young animals can be sold to their community as well, and this gives them a chance to earn money from their animal husbandry. Dairy cows will also help with transport and manure for growing crops. A fish farm will bless many families in a leprosy-affected community as it will turn the local pond into a fish farm. This will provide a sustainable source of food and income for the whole community.
